A five-day sport climbing judges course, organised by JK State Sport Climbing Committee under the expert guidance and consultation with North Zone Sport Climbing Committee, New Delhi started at Sprawling Buds School, Chinore.
The course was inaugurated by president of JK State Sport Climbing Committee, a wing of Mountaineering Association of JK, Prof Lalit Magotra. Whereas theory classes in sport climbing shall be conducted in the office of the Mountaineering Association of JK practical training shall be imparted to the trainees at Tenzing Norgay Sport Climbing Wall in Sprawling Buds School, Chinore, Jammu.
The candidates who qualify the course shall be deputed for another Judges course to be conducted by North Zone Sport Climbing Committee in near future. Nine climbers including Shivani Raj Kaith, a national champion, Suraj Singh, Puneet Sharma, Anil Kumar, all national climbers along with Ritesh Sajgotra, Neha Datta, Neha Sajgotra, Mrigank Kaushal and Sonam Sidharth are attending the course.
